About

Birdsmouth Beer Brewhouse

Why Birdsmouth?

A birdsmouth is an industry term for a type of carpentry joint used to join wood or other building materials together. Birdsmouth Beer brews its lagers to compliment everyday activities with family, friends, and community to join people together. Our NJ pride is prominently displayed in our logo with NJ’s state bird, the Goldfinch. With friends and family as the foundation of our brewery, we welcome everyone with open arms to join our community and help us to continue to build something meaningful.

Our Promise

We are focused on providing fresh beer by only distributing in NJ. We work with our partners to ensure every beer you consume is served the way it was intended.

Head Brewer Andy

From humble beginnings in a tiny apartment in Asbury Park, Andy Gioia’s (pictured left) passion for making beer was born. With a background in culinary arts and microbiology coupled with his lifelong desire to make things, it was a matter of time before homebrewing found its way into Andy’s life. Over the next several years, the hobby turn obsession led Andy to brewing school at the American Brewers Guild. Upon graduating, he worked his way up through the industry from keg washer, packaging, and cellarman to head brewer. Having teamed up with Rocco Laginestra (pictured right) as founders of NJ’s Birdsmouth Beer, Andy is looking to point his passion in the pursuit of perfecting the lager.
